Shade and Sun: Joshua Tree Part 2

We started shooting at dawn (see part 1), but the sun rises fast in the desert. Shade is hard to come by, and shade is a photographer’s best friend. We drove¬†aimlessly for a few minutes(the best way to find new photo spots), we found this cave of boulders.

After exploring the rocky area, we decided to experiment in the sun. Barker Dam trail was the only spot I knew of where we could find a giant reflector for the sun… the reservoir. So we hiked in for some shots that played with high contrast.

I’ll post later some behind the scenes of our journeys. In the mean time, enjoy Jasmine and Will being cool.
